Kambera House

This Cottage would suit a small budget-conscious family, wanting to get away for a weekend or longer stay.   We have stayed in Kambera several times before. It is located close to the ferry but is quiet with little passing traffic. House house is old but comfortable. The yard is safely fenced for our dogs.

  This is the second time we have stayed at Kambera. It is simple, old style beach house in a quiet part of the island. It is nopt far from the ferry. We enjoyed sitting on the front verandah listening to the birds. The yard was well fenced for our dogs. The staff at Gippsland Lakes Escapes were very helpful when I wanted to extend our stay by a day.

  The property was very quiet, close to the ferry and very clean. We had our dogs with us and the back yard was dog proof for them. When we arrived the fridge wasn't working. Phil brought us some ice and came over and fixed the fridge.

  We absolutely loved our time on Raymond Island and visiting the surrounding cute towns. The Island has such a variety of environments for such a small place and seeing koalas and kangaroos everywhere was a delight. The house was cosy and had everything you could possibly need. Our dog loved staying too. The ferry is a quick trip and comes often. It was a very relaxing and different trip to our usual. One thing to remember is mosquito repellant. They are everywhere but wont bother you with bug spray on. Loved it.

  Kambera House is an older holiday home that is well maintained, clean and tidy and has everything you need for a great holiday. The welcome pack with milk, bread and other essentials was a nice touch, and booking and after hours key pick up was simple and easy. Gippsland Lakes Escapes were prompt with their communication and very helpful with questions during booking. We are glad to have found this company as we are regular visitors to Paynesville and have booked to stay in another of their properties at Christmas (we would have been happy to stay at Kambera House again but we needed a property slightly closer to family living in the area).

  What a beautiful and perfectly located little house. A wonderful, cosy home for our family of 4. Kids each had their own room which they were happy about! The kitchen, living and bathroom areas were perfectly equipped and had everything you could need. Wished we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back. A beautiful spot with amazing walks and wildlife at the doorstep.
